Update warm front / thaw / Flood

The warm front has shifted further east and has now (21 z) Width parts of Germany reached, as shown on the satellite image. A look at the latest synoptic values is already moderate to heavy rain from the Ardennes to the resin (Hanover and Erfurt) and continue south to the Black Forest.
In Austria it is raining already in Vorarlberg and Tyrol, and by the Pinzgau to the house in Upper Austria and jerk.

Current model calculations

The latest model runs of ECMWF and UKMO / NA show no significant changes to the previous runs. The focus of the rainfall is up to the Friday morning still on the north side of the Alps Bregenzerwald to Eisenwurzen with secondary maxima in the beautiful countryside and Lake District.


The 36 h forecast of the UK Met Office shows but with up to 80 mm much larger quantities than the EC (50 mm) and calculated those in a similar pattern. However, the maximum, especially in Innviertel and Lower Bavaria. Thus we see that diverge even at the beginning of Regenerignissesdie models yet.
